Sue Killingsworth

Sue Killingsworth grew up loving art and took art classes as a teenager that began her love of painting. ue graduated from Baylor University with an English Professional Writing degree and worked for Oxmoor House Publishing in Birmingham, Alabama editing cookbooks for Cooking Light, Working Mother and Southern Living among others.  After raising her three children, Sue was an Executive Director for a large telecom company.

Never forgetting her love of painting formed as a teen, Sue started painting again after 33 years and enjoys the constant learning process. In addition to daily painting, she has been privileged to attend workshops by great artists including: Anna Rose Bain, Nancy Boren, Gene Dillard, Keli Folsom, Qiang Huang, and Cecy Turner.

Sue stays active in art associations. She is a member of The Portrait Society of America, Richardson Civic Art Society, Associated Creative Artists of Dallas, and Thursday Night Live Plano figurative painters. Some of her paintings can be seen at The Artists Showplace Gallery of Dallas. Sue enjoys painting commissions for her customers and is honored to be a part of their special memories.

Sue was born in Wheaton, Illinois and currently resides with her husband in Richardson, Texas.
